Due to a correspondence error the Palm D’Or regatta at Guelph Lake is incorrectly listed as May 5-6 in the current issue of Snipe Bulletin. The correct date is May 26-27. Please change your regatta schedules accordingly.

This is considered a “friendly informal” regatta so the NOR is as follows:

Show up and we will feed you, entertain you, let you camp at the club and give you two days of excellent small lake, short course Snipe sailing on a motorboat free conservation area lake for somewhere around $80* CDN.

*this is a break even regatta, the more that show up, the less the entry fee.

Update:

SCIRA Canada is pleased to announce that 2012 Snipe Canadian Championship/Ontario Open Regatta will be held at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club.  It will be held on July 7-8, 2012. Hamilton has hosted this regatta twice before and both times it was a great success. With top notch Race Committee and volunteers paired with a fabulous Snipe sailing venue, this promises to be one of the best Canadians ever.

This regatta will be the Canadian qualifier for three spots at the 2012 Western Hemisphere Championship in Argentina (two spots have already been allotted) and two spots at the 2013 Worlds in Brazil.

Etobicoke Yacht Club will be hosting the 2012 Snipe North Americans!

SCIRA Canada and Fleet 877 are pleased to announce that the 2012 Snipe North American Championships will be held at the Etobicoke Yacht Club September 14 -16. Located just west of downtown Toronto, EYC offers first rate dinghy sailing with top notch facilities and staff.

With the Pan Am Games coming to Toronto in 2015, this regatta offers a chance to get to know the waters of Lake Ontario and practice your freshwater skills.
